About music
When playing music, I often forget about the world around me. It’s not a coincidence that the term “playing” music is used. That’s what music is all about, playing in both senses of the word. I also love beatboxing, singing and musical improvisation because they are tools for complete creative freedom and self-realization. Plus, you can play absolutely anywhere, anytime, any way. Music emerges from nothing – a very exciting and freeing process. I am fascinated to see how music connects people. In fact, in musical improvisation, the ambience and mood of the audience is an essential element. Often listeners don’t even realize that it is their attention and energy that helps create the music. It is this collaboration and reciprocity that connects people to us and us to them. Then things start to happen, and music is made. It’s a state that you can feel right away, and it’s not really my doing. My job is simply to relax my mind, to let the music flow. Not to put a spoke in its wheel. It’s a bit like life: the more relaxed you are, the smoother everything flows.”

WITH JEN HOVORKA
Currently Endru is performing mainly with his favorite bandmate, phenomenal keyboardist, producer, MC and beatboxer JeN Hovorka. This duo delivers a rhythmic load of improvised music that crosses genres during the show, built on uncompromising looped beatbox grooves. Both artists’ energetic performances incorporate influences from hip-hop, neo-soul, latino, jazz, house to world music. As Endru and JeN Hovorka put it, their music is “born to be listened to, meditated upon, and danced to as a part of the slimming treatment”.
WITH DAN BÁRTA
Frontman of the unique band Ilustratosphere and long-time member of the band J.A.R. Dan Bárta. His unmistakable voice is well known, but his ability to let himself spontaneously be carried away by unknown harmonies and rhythms, and across genres, is unique and characteristic for few.
ENDRU & DAN & JEN
Musical improvisation is a demanding field, the more so if it involves three artists. But this is not the case with the trio Endru & Dan & Jen. The musical banter between this trio is proof that even when improvising, three can play as one.
